A Bachelors degree with student leadership experience or equivalent education/experience is required.  Demonstrated experience in hiring, leading and managing students and student teams.  Experience with managing and leading large-scale events.  Comprehensive knowledge of the University of Waterloo coupled with a solid background and experience in developing initiatives focused on student recruitment or student success. Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster positive working relationships and build cross-campus partnerships are essential.  The ability to work effectively in a service oriented environment, which values collaboration and collegiality.  Strong organizational and problem solving skills and the ability to understand research findings and their application to events. University degree or suitable equivalent experience, preferably from the University of Waterloo.  Extensive experience as a supervisor is required with proven leadership in directing, motivating, and coordinating staff activities.   Must have a high level of interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to exercise diplomacy and tact in interactions with applicants, students, staff, faculty and members of the general public.  The incumbent must have exceptional problem solving and communication (oral and written) skills.  Must have superior organizational and project management skills, setting priorities to successfully manage conflicting deadlines. Knowledge of the University of Waterloo is an asset, preferably having a comprehensive understanding of and background in undergraduate admissions.

University undergraduate degree or suitable combination of education and experience in communications and special event planning. The incumbent should demonstrate initiative in creative thinking around producing new materials.  An understanding of marketing communication tools and skill in the use and deployment of communication technologies are desired assets. Experience in website development, video creation, and developing social media strategies are important attributes. Must have the ability to successfully manage various social media channels (facebook, youtube, flickr, etc.). PhD or PhD candidate eligible for registration as a clinicalpsychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Scopeof practice must include clinical work with adolescent and
young adult population. Demonstrated experience conductingand interpreting psycho-diagnostic and psycho educationalassessments. Demonstrated skill and effectiveness in the application of a broad spectrum of psychological interventions/
therapies especially CBT. Proven experience in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric diagnoses including the spectrum of clinical depression, anxiety disorders, and personality disorders etc. Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and organizational skills. Demonstrated initiative and strong skills in problem-solving and decision-making. Excellent ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team. On site
supervision is available. There are 2 one year contract positions available.

The salary for this position is $54,629.80 to $88,500.81.

The successful candidate will be involved in developing web-based tools for supporting the online learning environment, administrative systems & applications, and will participate in website deployment and migration. The developer may also be responsible for exploring and supporting various vendor technologies. The developer should be familiar with educational technologies for use in distance/online course creation and delivery, integration technology standards, learning and content management systems. The developer will also, from time to time, be involved in technology exploration and research. Excellent communication skills are required to provide technical support for staff. This includes the ability to listen to and explain and document technical concepts for a broad range of computer users. Strong interpersonal, time management skills and proven ability to effectively work as member of a team is essential.

A thorough understanding of object-oriented programming in PHP as well as HTML, CSS and JavaScript (i.e. using jQuery or similar library) and advanced SQL for secure web-application design and development is required. Current working knowledge of databases and web servers (i.e. Apache, IIS) is required. Experience with database design including an understanding of data normalization and how databases interact with web application technologies to provide dynamic web content is required. Experience with learning management systems and general instructional technology development experience is desirable. Experience with SharePoint and Drupal systems is an asset. Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as computing, strongly preferred.

The University of Waterloo is seeking an Instructional Digital Media Developer with Math skills and background to join the Centre for Extended Learning (CEL) Course Production team.

The successful candidate will work with faculty and members of the Extended Learning team to create high quality learning materials intended for use in fully online mathematics courses. The developer will use both specialized mathematical software and mainstream multimedia production tools.

This position is a one-year contract beginning immediately with possibility of extension.

UW Retail Services/Digital Production requires the services of a Printing & Media.doc assistant.  The applicant must be able to perform repetitive work from a standing position, move materials (50lbs) and help to keep work area in good order.  Must be able to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to details.
