Revised deadlines for Hiring Managers.

Your Human Resources Advisor needs your job opening by noon on Friday and your Job Opening needs to be fully approved by noon on Tuesday for your job to be posted on Wednesday.

Internal Job Postings

The internal posting period is 7 business days. This means that in most cases (unless there is a stat holiday) the jobs posted on Wednesday morning at midnight will be removed the Thursday of the following week at 11:59pm.

Which login do I use to view the current Employment Opportunities?

UWaterloo Employees Career Search: University Policy 18 provides maximum opportunity for promotion and transfer of regular, on-going full and part time staff members. For non-union staff vacancies only, internal jobs will be posted every Wednesday for seven business days. Please upload your cover letter & resume (as one document) and complete the online application form during this time period for any job that you wish to apply for. If there are no qualified internal applications, a decision may be made, no earlier than seven working days from the posting date, to seek external candidates and the job will be posted externally under the 'All Applicants Career Search'.

For clarification of regular full and part time employees, please refer to University of Waterloo Policy 54 - Definition of Staff .

All Applicants Career Search: We invite applications/resumes for external career opportunities from all interested applicants. Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada will be given priority.

Current UWaterloo regular employees may create a user name and password for the external site and apply for these jobs as well. All applications received from UWaterloo employees after the internal posting period will be treated on an equal basis, without consideration of the internal status of the candidate.

Temporary Opportunities & Secondments: These are not regular on-going positions. If there are no qualified internal applications, the position will be offered as an external temporary appointment opportunity.
