Primary Purpose

Responsible for the creation, updates and maintenance of the Chemistry and Nanotechnology Engineering websites.  Must be diligent in the collection and maintenance of data from new and existing faculty members as well as maintaining current knowledge of UW-supported technological changes.

Key Accountabilities:

1.  Manage online resources

 

2.  Administrative Support to Graduate Studies Coordinator and the Chemistry Office

 

3.  High School Exams

 

4.  Manage supplies and equipment

Position Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent education and experience.

Experience:

Excellent computing, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills.  Excellent computer proficiency using MS Office and all associated applications.

Technical:

MS Word Excel PowerPoint Other
Intermediate Intermediate Intermediate SharePoint; Outlook; databases; website development and content management

Nature and Scope

Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent interpersonal skills as position interacts with faculty, staff, students and other personnel both on and off-campus.  Detail oriented.  

Level of Responsibility:

Must possess good judgement, initiative and flexibility to adapt to competing tasks with minimal supervision;

Decision-Making Authority:

Sound judgement in order to solve hardware/software issues.

Physical and Sensory Demands:

 Office environment with student/faculty/traffic and many interruptions.

Working Environment:

Office environment – no significant physical or psychological risks.
