Bulk Mailing Specialist Assistant

General Accountability

Accountable to the manager of Central Stores for the daily operation of:

Labelling bulk mailings and newsletters, folding, inserting and postal code sorting of bulk mailings.  Also work on the trucks when needed.

Nature and Scope

This position is responsible for assisting with the University central bulk mail processing plant which includes operating the folding, inserting, polybagging and inkjet printing machines.  Also a working knowledge of  Canada Post's Postal Code sort for addressed admail.

Specific Accountabilities

1. Apply addresses to mail with an automated Buskro inkjet printing machine.

2. Fold and Stuff printed material into envelopes or polybags.

3. Responsible for LCP and second class mail sorting and bundling according to Canada Post's very strict National Distribution guide.

4. Setting up and operating a high speed Kern Multimailer,  Kas Polybager and Inkjet Buskro printing machine.  This includes programming the computerized controller.

5. Knowledge of Canada Post Rules and Regulations.

6. This person must be able to communicate effectively.

7. Must be in excellent physical condition because this position involves alot of heavy lifting.

8.  Must be mechanically inclined (repair machines when they break down)

9.  Work on the trucks when needed.
