Location: Main Campus

Primary Purpose

Responsible for the strategic development and conduct of recruitment and admission activities as they relate to the Faculty’s strategic priorities.  Also responsible for international programs and partnerships with other institutions as they relate to our undergraduate programs.

Key Accountabilities:

Responsible for the implementation of the Faculty’s International and domestic recruitment programs

  • Provide research and recommendations on international and domestic markets
  • Provide research and make recommendations of marketing strategies for recruitment
  • Coordinate the Faculty’s plan with the University plan
  • Provide Faculty representation at education fairs
  • Provide recruiters in key Faculty markets
  • Form partnerships with external organizations to further recruitment efforts

Responsible for admissions, both independently and as part of the admissions team

  • Make admission decisions on international applications according to faculty and university guidelines
  • Monitor changes in international curricula and make recommendations to the Faculty’s admissions team
  • Ensure communication with the applicants as to status
  • Provide academic counseling on matters related to admission and program choice

Ensure the delivery of the Mathematics Language Program

Partnerships with other University undergraduate programs

  • Ensure the implementation of the exchange program
  • Advise on partnership agreements

Position Requirements

Education:

Bachelor degree required. 

Experience:

Progressive experience with proven track record of success in recruitment and admissions. Experience dealing with international students and/or educational organizations.

Technical:

MS Word Excel PowerPoint Other
Basic experience with Microsoft Word Basic experience with Microsoft Excel Basic Experience using on-line student information systems.

Level of Responsibility:

Responsible for independent admissions decisions; jointly responsible for team admissions decisions.  Oversees temporary employees; provides functional direction to Recruitment Coordinator in the School of Computer Science.

Decision-Making Authority:

Responsible for implementing the overall plan within the confines of the strategic plan and budgetary constraints..
 

Physical and Sensory Demands:

Minimal demands typical of an administrative position within an office environment

Working Environment:

Travel

Regular travel required; some international travel required.
