This position requires scientific, engineering and project management skills applied to problem solving in contaminant hydrogeology and environmental engineering

Specific Accountabilities

  1. considerable independent work such as the supervision of field crews comprised of graduate students, co-op students and technicians at field sites both close and far from Waterloo (i.e., in the United States)
  2. Ability to use sophisticated computer models to analyze groundwater problems and to create software to compliment or expand such models.
  3. Develop consistent standard methods for field activities and associated data reporting and insure that they are implemented efficiently.
  4. Use state-of-the-art surveying and other field equipment and software for producing accurate and reliable maps and other diagrams representing field conditions.
  5. Contribute significantly to preparation of research proposals for funding and project reports.
Interface with clients (i.e., funding organizations) at field sites and meetings.
